The 2nd European Summit on Cancer Prevention and Control is a key regional meeting for Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), dedicated to advancing cancer prevention. The event provides a platform for sharing best practices, fostering intergenerational dialogue, and setting forward-looking health policy directions. It continues the dialogue initiated during the meeting held under the EU Council Presidency in 2025, further strengthening collaboration and innovation in cancer prevention efforts across the region

Summary – Edition 2025

European Cancer Prevention Summit 2025 – Key Outcomes
We would like to express our sincere thanks to all speakers, experts, partners, and participants whose engagement made the European Cancer Prevention Summit 2025 a meaningful and inspiring event.

Held under the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the summit gathered key stakeholders from across Europe and beyond to strengthen international collaboration in cancer prevention. Discussions focused on the future of screening programs, innovative policy approaches, and the importance of integrating prevention into national and EU-level health strategies.

Key highlights included the launch of the Oncology Portal and the announcement of a new Unit for Primary Prevention and Health Policy within the National Institute of Oncology—important steps toward more effective, coordinated cancer prevention. The next edition of the summit is already planned for 2026.
